The Amador Business Ticker is one year old today. If you’re a longtime reader or you’ve just started reading, thank you for reading. I’m grateful.
This is a one-man operation, though my mother comments about food when we try a new restaurant to review. I’ve learned a lot about the county and its businesses, and I’m looking forward to learning more because there are some questions I haven’t answered yet.
I don’t comment here often except to talk about new features of the website. I think the feature stories and reviews should take center stage.
I may comment more as the site develops, but I want to concentrate more on adding more features to the site. For example, I’d like to introduce a “People on the Move” type feature that focuses on people starting new jobs and businesses as well as promoted employees. I’d also like to have a focused area on county and city governments.
For now, there are no flashy announcements. I’m still working on the foundation of the site, as I should. That means getting advertisers and continuing to find interesting stories to tell you about.
I hope you like it. If you want to see something in the Ticker that isn’t here now, please e-mail me and let me know. And constructive criticism is always welcome.
To prosperous times ahead,
